ETHS shifts homecoming to day game
Evanston Township High School officials say that in light of the recent incidents in the Church Street area, they've decided to shift the homecoming football game from Friday night, Oct. 5, to Saturday afternoon, Oct. 6.
Kick off will be at 1:30 p.m. The officials say hey hope the daytime event will provide a safer commuting experience for students and fans attending the game. No other changes to Friday night games are anticipated.
In addition, the Homecoming Dance, scheduled for Saturday night, will begin one hour earlier at 7 p.m. and will end at 10 p.m.
The Wildkits will face Maine South Hawks in the homecoming game at Lazier Field. The Homecoming half time show will include the ETHS marching band, PomKits, and the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen.
Tickets are $2 for students and $3 for adults.
