1400 Sherman

A white male, 6-foot-3 inch tall and weighing 200 pounds, struck a victim in the abdomen at a bar in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday

901 Ridge

Prentice Floyde Phillips, 47, who told police he was homeless, was arrested at 901 Ridge Ave. at 11:21 p.m. Wednesday and charged with battery. He's due in court at 9 a.m., Aug. 2.

Burglary

2000 Howard

Someone took a Garmin GPS and cell phone accessories from an unlocked 2005 Buick in the alley of the 2000 block of Howard Street between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Criminal damage to vehicle

1200 Lake Shore

Someone damaged the windshield of a 2010 Honda parked in a lot in the 1200 block of Lake Shore Boulevard between midnight and 8 a.m. Thursday

1454 Elmwood

Patricia Witt, 72, of 2537 Prairie Ave., was arrested at the Evanston police station, 1454 Elmwood Ave. at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday and charged for telephone harassment. She's due in court at 1:30 p.m., July 24.

Theft

600 Davis

Someone took a Blackberry phone from the counter of a restaurant in the 600 block of Davis Street at 3:45 p.m. Thursday

2000 Church

Someone took keys and cash from a bedroom of a home in the 2000 block of Church Street at 12:27 a.m. today.

Traffic

101 Greenleaf

Julio Navarro-Ramirez, 46, of 6923 N Wayne in Chicago, was arrested and charged with a traffic violation at 101 Greenleaf Street at 7:05 p.m. Thursday. He's due in court at 10:30 a.m., Aug. 14

Unlawful use of weapon

847 Dodge

Sean Rattray, 27, who told police he was homeless, was arrested at 847 Dodge Ave. at 12:50 a.m. Thursday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon. He's due in court at 9 a.m., July 13. Related story.
