Teddy Taylor Jones, Jr., 34, of 510 South Boulevard, was arrested at his home at 3:38 a.m. Wednesday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Nov. 7 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary
A burglar attempted entry by slashing a screen at a home in the 1100 block of Harvard Terrace at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Suspect is a black male.
A burglar entered a home in the 1100 block of Harvard Terrace shortly after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday by slashing a window screen. Nothing was taken.
Drugs
Jutin Michael Vierk, 29, of 1207 W. Morris, Chicago, was arrested at 100 Howard St. at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on Nov. 7 at 3 p.m.
Graffiti
Graffiti was discovered in an alley in the 1200 block of Pitner Avenue at 1:54 p.m. Tuesday.
Graffiti was discovered on the street at Prairie Avenue and Colfax Street at 2:36 p.m. Wednesday.
Theft
Gas was siphoned out of a 2006 Ford and a 2005 GMC in the alley in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue between Oct. 3 and 1 p.m. Wednesday.
A cell phone left unattended at an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue was stolen between 6:40 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday. Suspect is a 5-foot-10-inch-tall black male weighing 150 pounds.
A purse was lifted from a shopping cart at a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around noon Tuesday.
