EVANSTON CRIME: Vehicle break-ins on Washington and Grey

A 1996 Toyota and a 1995 Range Rover were burglarized in separate incidents at Washington Street and Grey Avenue. These and other stories in today's daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

Lyons at Lemar

An offender punched her victim near Lyons Street and Lemar Avenue around 1 a.m. Friday. Suspect is a 5-foot-8-inch-tall black female weighing 220 pounds.

Burglary

1600 Seward

Someone entered a home through an unlocked window in the 1600 block of Seward Street. at 11:13 a.m. Thursday. Suspect is a 6-foot-tall black male weighing 160 pounds.

1600 Washington

A pair of Michael Jordan shoes was taken from a 1996 Toyota parked on the street in the 1600 block of Washington Street at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

900 Grey

Someone took a Sony stereo with video out of a 1995 Range Rover that was unlocked and in the alley in the 900 block of Grey Avenue between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 8:40 a.m. Thursday.

1910 Dempster

Frank Marquis Billups, 22, of 217 Dodge Ave., and Sterling M. P. Clark, 22, of 1950 W. Devon Ave., Chicago, were arrested at 1910 Dempster St. at 4:21 p.m. Thursday and charged with consumption of alcohol on the public way. They are due in court on Sept. 12 at 9 a.m.

Theft

2300 Oakton

A 2011 yellow GMC truck with license plate No. 2020870 was stolen from a hardware store in the 2300 block of Oakton Street at 8:06 p.m. on Aug. 19. Suspect is a 5-foot-7-inch-tall white female weighing 207 pounds.

2000 Howard

A locked bicycle was stolen off the street in the 2000 block of Howard Street between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

2201 Oakton

Kimberly Shunta Jackson, 44, of 1811 Wesley Ave., and Algienon Sutherland, 52, of 735 Dobson St., were arrested at 2201 Oakton St. at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday and charged with retail theft. They are due in court on Oct. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
