The Evanston Police Department reported that it conducted an alcohol compliance check last week with 11 bars and taverns in Evanston and found all of them in compliance.
The checks, made Thursday on a random basis by the department’s Juvenile Bureau, involved 11 businesses registered and licensed to sell alcohol within the city.
In a news release Monday, the EPD declared that all 11 “were compliant, in that they requested identification, verified the ages of the minors, and refused to sell alcohol to the under aged minors.”
