Sharnell S. Sayles, 41, and Raphael L. Turner, 38, both of 1423 Grey Ave., were arrested at their home at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday and charged with battery in an incident involving a victim being punched in the face. They are due in court on Aug. 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Battery
Corey Montel Steele, 34, of 4820 W. Mulford, Skokie, was arrested at 1837 Leland St. at 3:15 a.m. Thursday and charged with battery in an incident involving a victim being hit in the chest.
Burglary
A Sony stereo faceplate was stolen from a vehicle at a grocery store in the 1300 block of Oak Avenue between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Criminal damage to vehicle
Someone damaged the passenger side door lock of a 2001 Dodge that was parked on the street in the 1800 block of Simpson Street between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 5 p.m. Thursday.
Criminal trespass
Prentice F. Phillips, 47, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 2230 Sherman Ave. at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday and charged with criminal trespass on land. He is due in court on Aug. 28 at 1:30 p.m.
Graffiti
Graffiti was discovered at an apartment/condo common area in the 1400 block of Brummel Street at 3:23 p.m. Thursday.
Theft
Illinois license plate No. N2233564 was stolen from a 2001 Hyundai parked on the street in the 1000 block of Austin Street shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday.
A wallet and a cell phone were taken from the waiting room of Evanston Hospital between 10:50 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday.
A locked bicycle was stolen from the yard of a home in the 1800 block of Lemar Avenue between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday. Suspect is a 5-foot-4-inch-tall black male weighing 120 pounds.
