A burglar entered an apartment in the 1100 block of Oak Avenue through an unlocked rear door between 1:30 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. Monday and stole several pieces of jewelry.

400 Darrow
Someone damaged the padlock to the rear gate of a home in the 400 block of Darrow Avenue between 9:32 a.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Dominque A. Harden, 25, of 807 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1801 Lyons St. and charged with disturbing the peace. She is due in court on Aug. 23 at 9 a.m.
838 Sheridan
Desmond Antonio Pruitt, Jr., of 1420 Brummel St., was arrested at 838 Sheridan Road at 9:18 p.m. Sunday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon. He is due in court on Aug. 8 at 9 a.m.

Gunshots were heard at Kedzie Street and Sheridan Road at 4:37 p.m. Sunday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

A push lawn mower left unattended in the 1800 block of Brummel Street was stolen between 9:40 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Monday.
1000 Chicago
A 2012 Volkswagen was reported stolen from the parking lot of a business establishment in the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue at 10:21 a.m. Monday.
1800 Crain
A 5-foot-4-inch-tall female weighing 150 pounds is a suspect in the disappearance of DVD movies, a flat iron, deodorant, personal items, clothing, baby bottles, and a Social Security card from an apartment in the 1800 block of Crain Street between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 23.
2000 Church
Someone used a key to enter a home in the 2000 block of Church Street between midnight and 6 a.m. Thursday and stole 2 watches, several pieces of jewelry, and a vehicle registration sticker. Suspect is a 5-foot-4-inch-tall black female weighing 130 pounds.
