Shawn L. Raymond, 20, of 605 Hull Terrace, was arrested at Howard Street and Custer Avenue at 3:44 p.m. Monday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Aug. 28 at 9 a.m.
Burglary
1400 Fowler
Someone entered an unlocked 2002 Chevrolet around 2:15 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Fowler Avenue and stole a purse. Suspect is a black male.
100 Ridge
Someone entered an unlocked 2007 Dodge at a gas station in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday and stole debit and credit cards.

Randall T. Mercer, 32, of 735 Grey Ave., was arrested at 1168 Dodge Ave. at 8:13 p.m. Sunday and charged with criminal damage to property in connection with damage to the front door of a business establishment in the 1900 block of Dempster Street. He is due in court on Aug. 28 at 9 a.m.

Cash was taken from a victim's purse at an apartment in the 300 block of Custer Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Monday. Suspect is a black male.
100 Ridge
Someone grabbed a victim's wallet at a gas station in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue at 3:48 a.m. Monday. Suspects are a 5-foot-8-inch-tall black male weighing 150 pounds and a 5-foot-8-inch-tall black female.

Someone stole a bicycle from the street in the 400 block of Sherman Avenue between noon July 13 and 4:20 p.m. Friday.
