Evanston police say an 18-year-old woman took a Mart Cart handicap shopping scooter for a joy ride from a supermarket on Chicago Avenue Friday night. That story and the rest of the weekend crime wrapup in today's daily police bulletin.

Someone stole a cellphone from an unlocked 2001 Lexus parked on the street near the intersection of Ashland Avenue and simpson Street between 7:30 and 8:50 p.m. Saturday.

Someone tried to sneak into a home in the 2300 block of Emerson Street through a bedroom window at 1:29 a.m. Sunday, but didn't get in. The suspect is described as 5-foot-8-inch tall black male weighing 150 pounds.
