Phone failure at Civic Center

Phone lines at Evanston's Civic Center and several other city buildings were down late this afternoon, but service appeared to have been restored by early this evening.

During the outage callers got a message saying all circuits were busy and to try their call again later.

The city's emergency 9-1-1 phone system was not affected by the outage.
