Water work creates three-day detour downtown

The City of Evanston’s Utilities Department is doing water line repair work at the intersection of Orrington Avenue and Clark Street.

The right turn lane onto Clark from Orrington will be closed until about 5 p.m. today. Work will continue at the intersection during regular business hours until 5 p.m. Thursday.

Check your water bill afterwards. I am just curious to see if other people happen to "leave their water running for a week straight and not realize it also". They worked in front of my house in December for a week and all of a sudden my water bill was twice than any month I have ever lived here: $346. They said I must have left my water running for a week straight (right when they worked in front) and made me pay it.
