City launches budget outreach process next week

The City of Evanston next week will launch efforts to gather citizen input on next year's city budget.

Starting Saturday, Sept. 15, residents can submit budget ideas online, by email, or by phone to 311.

Residents can also attend a budget meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Civic Center.

City officials also plan to be available from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 15 to meet with residents at three locations across town, but haven't yet announced where those sessions will take place.

More information about the budget process budget documents for current and previous budgets can be found online.
