Slide show: Art fest reopens today after storm shutdown

Evanston's Lakeshore Arts Festival resumes today at Dawes Park, after vendors had to pack up early on Saturday because of the threat of late-afternoon thunderstorms that were sweeping through the area.

The annual show, now in its 40th year, feaues over 100 visual artists, as well as musical acts, hands-on art crafts for children, and concession stands.

Though the festival artists had to pack up early on Saturday, the event will continue Sunday morning.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dawes Park is on Sheridan Road at Church Street.
