Trick or treat time tonight

Hope you've got the candy ready! It's Halloween, and trick-or-treaters are expected to be knocking on doors this evening.

The city's designated hours for the event are 4 to 7 p.m. So, parents, you can tell the kids that the mayor doesn't want them out after that.

Neighboring Skokie is throwing caution to the wind -- setting trick-or-treating hours of 3 to 8 p.m.

I would like to express my thanks to the 17-25 year olds without costumes expecting candy after 7:00pm who decided to smash my pumpkin. Sincerely, A disgusted fellow Evanston teenager.
