Lakeshore Arts Festival hits 40

Evanston's Lakeshore Arts Festival celebrating its 40th anniversary this weekend.

The event features fine artwork by over 100 artists, a silent art auction both days and live music.

Local restaurateurs will provide food and drinks.

The juried show includes photography, jewelry, painting, wood, ceramics, glass, prints/drawings, sculpture, fiber, watercolor and mixed media.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Dawes Park, Sheridan Road. at Church Street.

Free parking is available at Northwestern University's parking lot three blocks north, with free shuttle bus service to the festival site.
