ETHS students finish mural at Whole Foods South

Students and staff from Evanston Township High School started the summer painting a mural on the south wall of Evanston’s Whole Foods South, 1111 Chicago Ave.

The mural, with the theme "Welcome to Evanston," was designed by ETHS art teacher Petra Maton with some of her cartooning students from the spring semester.

“We wanted to focus on all of the great things about Evanston, particularly from a south Evanston perspective,” said ETHS art teacher Marla Seibold who was part of the painting crew that included Maton and several art students.

Seibold coordinated the mural project with Harvey Pranian and Susan Larson from the nonprofit organization Young Evanston Artists (YEA!), along with Whole Foods’ Bridget Isaia.
