ETHS info sessions set at 3 middle schools
They call them “community conversations,” but the three information sessions announced by Evanston Township High School at three District 65 middle schools this fall are designed to answer questions of prospective students and their parents about the school.
The conversations will be moderated by ETHS Superintendent Eric Witherspoon and will focus on information about ETHS and any concerns that future Wildkit parents and families may have about the ETHS experience, according to a news release from the school.
The sessions will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Haven Middle School, 2417 Prairie Ave., on Oct. 10; Chute Middle School at 1400 Oakton St., Nov. 13; and Nichols Middle School, 800 Greenleaf St., on Nov. 29.
Parents and family members of children of any age who attend public, private, and parochial schools or who are home-schooled in the Evanston/Skokie school district are encouraged to attend, according to school officials, and even those parents of children enrolled at ETHS in the past who may have younger children approaching their high school years may find the sessions useful, they said.
In addition to the superintendent, other staff members of the school will be available to speak with those who come.
The sessions are free and open to the public.
