Parents to shadow students at ETHS

Ever wonder what your kid does all day at Evanston Township High School?

Parent Shadow Day, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25, is your chance to find out. And who knows, you may even learn something in the process.

ETHS parents, guardians and other adults who are significant in the lives of ETHS students, are invited to follow their students’ class schedule, including after-school activities, for all or part of the day.

While teachers will be focusing on their classes during this normal school day, department chairs and other school leaders will be available to network with parents at select times through the day.

Special programs for parents have been scheduled during student lunch periods.

“If you want to see what ETHS has to offer, Parent Shadow Day is a great way for adults to be part of their students’ high school experience,” stated ETHS Communications Director Evangeline Semark.

But first, you must regist for the free program. An RSVP form is available on the Parent Shadow Day web page of the ETHS website.

Last thing a kid wants.

Sounds like a high school kid's worst nightmare... having Mom or Dad follow you around in school all day.
