Evanston Now readership sets new record

Evanston Now set a new readership record last month and got some praise from a media monitoring group.

More than 32,000 unique visitors, that's online measurement service lingo for readers, visited Evanston Now last month, according to the traffic measurement service Google Analytics.

That's up from 25,000 the last time we reported traffic numbers to you back in March.

Chicago's Community Media Workshop, in an evaluation of suburban media last month, offered a possible explanation for the growth, saying "Evanston Now may be the meatiest independent local news site" in the suburbs "with extensive staff-written news reports along with crime blotters and events listings."

Thanks to CMW for the kind words, and to you for being part of the Evanston Now community.

Great job!

Congratulations.  Clearly, you have the best news coverage in Evanston.  Thank you for continuing to bring current and relevant news about all of Evanston.

One suggestion:  add a "like" or "recommended" or similar type button to encourage even more participation.
