Two 16-year-olds charged in robbery

Bill SmithMonday, Dec. 03, 2007, at 3:34 pm

Evanston police report they've arrested two 16-year-old Evanston residents in connection with the robbery of a 51-year-old woman at Greenleaf Street and Hinman Avenue Friday afternoon.

The woman told police the teenagers grabbed her around the neck and demanded her purse.

They fled after she reached into the purse and gave them some cash.

Police arrested the suspects a few blocks away at the corner of Main Street and Chicago Avenue.

It is likely they were just released back into the community to commit more crimes! Until they kill some one they will not end up in prison.
I wonder what plan the city and the new youth coordinator have for this issue?
