Robber grabs woman's purse

Evanston police today say a woman was robbed about 4:45 Tuesday afternoon in a parking lot behind an apartment building at 1008 Crain St.

She reportedly told police that a teenager grabbed for her purse. When she screamed, the robber grabbed her and knocked her to the ground before fleeing with her purse containing cash and a cell phone.
