Evanston man charged in stolen property case

An Evanston man is due in court Friday to face felony charges of possessing solen property.

Police say the charges against 43-year-old William Carl Giles of 1212 Fowler Ave. follow a raid on his home Saturday morning.

Police executing a search warrant say they found computers, cameras, electronics gear, game systems and jewelry taken in recent burglaries.

Police in Glenview, Skokie and Wilmette as well as Evanston say they've linked property found in the home to burglaries in their communities.

Evanston Polilce Commander Tom Guenther praised the "well-coordinated" work by the four departments involved in the investigation.
