Thugs rob another ice cream vendor
For the second time in just over a week an ice cream vendor has been robbed on an Evanston street.
Police say the latest incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when four youths confronted a man driving a popsicle cart at 1703 Madison St.
One of the teenagers hit the victim over the head with a stick while another grabbed his wallet.
Police say the victim told them one of the teens was wearing a red shirt, another a blue shirt.
Update 4:12 p.m.: Alderman Ann Rainey advises that the victim in Wednesday's incident is the same ice cream vendor who was robbed last week.

How about we allow concealed carry of handguns in Iliinois? Then all the current helpless victims could defend themselves from the thugs. Evanston Chicago and all the other municpalites that banned handguns are out of touch with the rest of the country. 48 States allow for some form of concealed carry of handguns for self defense!
How about dispathcing some undercover police icecream man?
Poor Icecream man....
I want them around Evanston and feel safe to do business. Need some action soon before we lose them from city of evanston.
