Sondheim musical revue opens

SondheimLight Opera Works opens "Side by Side by Sondheim" tonight in Evanston.

The program features a collection of songs by Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim.

Performances will be held at the group's second stage at 1420 Maple Ave.

The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. through Nov. 9.

Side by SideGeorge Andrew Wolff, Jo Ann Minds, Anne Gunn and Jennifer Davis-Johnson perform in "Side by Side by Sondheim."

Tickets, which range in price from $24 to $39, are available online or by phone at 847-869-6300.

Among the songs featured are "Send in the Clowns," "Comedy Tonight," "Losing My Mind," and "Being Alive."

The show is directed by Light Opera Works Aritist Director Rudy Hogenmiller with musical direction by Jon Steinhagen.
