Hi Lizzie,
To post event listings you need to be a "real name user" ... I just saw your comment and upgraded your membership status.
Now if you login at the site and visit the "Got News?" page, you'll see "Event" as one of the options in the light blue bar below the site logo.
Click on that to get the event listing form.
Other users can just send a note using the contact form to request a member upgrade.

Hi Mark,
To have your campaign show up as a valid entry in the Organization field in an event listing, you need to create a "Venue" content type for the organization.
Then when you type in the first few letters of the campaign name in the organization field on an event listing the system will fill in the name for you automatically.
(Sorry if the terminology is a little confusing -- we were thinking more of entertainment listings when we came up with the "Venue" label. But it will work.)
You also can choose to leave the Organization field blank on event listings if you'd rather.

Hi Bonnie,
You -- and other candidates and their supporters -- can post coffees as Event listings in the "Campaign '09" category.
You need to be a "real name user" to do that. I'll upgrade your membership now. Others can just send us a note after they register using the contact form.
help
I'm a new member trying to post an event to the calendar. Like these other people needing help, maybe I need to be upgraded, too? Please advise.
Calendar
The next step after you register for the site is to use the contact form to request an upgrade to "real-name user" status.
Maggie, I've just done the upgrade for you.

Where can I post the coffees that are given for me as Evanston Township Assessor.
Can there be a special place on this website where the candidates can post their coffees and events.

date format and photo
Can't get that to work properly. I have two dates to post for the same event. 10/22/08 and 10/24/08 . I've tried all different ways...
Second question. How do I include an image? I want to drop a photo in and didn't quite remember the steps from the workshop.
Dates and photos
Hi,
The answer about the date is to create two separate events -- one for each day.
The answer to how to upload a photo is here:
