Suspending insurance coverage

jhahnFriday, Oct. 24, 2008, at 2:58 pm

Hi,

Has anyone ever suspended their auto insurance coverage during the cold months in order to save some money?

I have except for comprehensive and it is cost effective if you don't drive the vehicle during the period that coverage has been suspended; call your agent to discuss.

Ummm...suspend auto insurance coverage during winter? With ice-slicked and snow-covered roads? That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. I would never drive without insurance...but if I did, it certainly wouldn't be during the winter.

Driving a car that is not insured is illegal.

Payday loans are a scam, with excessive if not brutal interest. You are better off getting a loan from a credit union.
