Community conversation at Curt's Cafe

Issues facing Evanston youth is the focus of a "Community Conversation" at Curt's Cafe, 2922 Central St., on Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m., sponsored by the Youth Job Center.

Moderated by Evanston Township High School Superintendent Eric Witherspoon, the event will feature a panel consisting of Bill Geiger, CEO of the McGaw YMCA; Kathy Lyons, education director of The Moran Center; Sacella Smith, education director of the Youth Job Center; Kevin Brown, City of Evanston; and Susan Trieschmann of Curt's Cafe.

The panel will identify the issues, examine steps being taken to address the issues, and suggest ways that the community can work together to do more.

Space is limited to the first 50 people who RSVP to Kim Hoopingarner, development director of the Youth Job Center, at (847) 864-5627.
