“Springfield has No Shame”

On February 10th, at 7:00 PM at the North Shore Retirement Home, 1611 Chicago Avenue, the League of Women Voters will host a presentation of the film “Springfield has No Shame”, with Gerri Sizemore of the NAACP. Gerri Sizemore, well known for her extensive community involvement in Evanston, and League Member, originally became acquainted with the NAACP in 1961. The film “Springfield has No Shame” pertains to the Springfield Race Riot of 1908 which led to the eventual formation of the NAACP. After the film presentation, attendees will participate in a question and answer session.
