The Evanston Symphony Orchestra under Music Director Lawrence Eckerling will hold its annual Christmas Concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Evanston Township High School auditorium.

This year the ESO is joined by the North Shore Choral Society, prepared by its music director, Julia Davids.

Faith Prince has been dazzling Broadway audiences since winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for her role as Ms. Adelaide in the critically-acclaimed revival of “Guys and Dolls.” On Dec. 3, Prince will present “Total Faith,” a one-night only concert at Northwestern University.

Acclaimed cellist, composer and producer Michael Fitzpatrick will perform his original compositions and musical meditations on the music of Bach, Ravel, Faure, Schubert and Casals during a sacred concert on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus.

The concert will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in Alice Millar Chapel, 1870 Sheridan Road.

Whether you like brass, percussion, strings, piano, or choral work, Northwestern University’s Henry and Leigh Bienen School of Music is presenting a full month of music on the Evanston campus in November, and it’s all open to the public at modest prices.

The community is invited to the next concert in this ongoing series. The Fran Randall Memorial Concert Series spotlights music students from local colleges and universities. All concerts include the Levy Center’s refurbished Steinway grand piano.
