'Announce' your news

We've added a new content category to Evanston Now this week.

It's called Announcements, and it's a place for sharing word about what's happening in the lives of people in our community.

Did your kid make the honor roll? Did you get a promotion at work? Announcements lets you share that with your neighbors and friends.

Have a major life transition -- getting engaged or married, or has someone you love just died? Announcements can let you share that news as well.

Announcements is also the place for community organizations to put out the word that they're seeking volunteers.

All you need to post an announcement is to join Evanston Now as a real name user.
