Charles Conrad "Chuck" Uchtman, 82, died on May 10. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2515 Central Park Ave. in Evanston.

Marcia Logan, wife of former police chief

Debate coach dies of heart attack

Former D65 superintendent dies
Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at 2:04 pm by Bill SmithA memorial service was held today for Joseph Fred Pollack, a former Evanston/Skokie School District 65 superintendent.
Mr. Pollack, died in Ann Arbor, Mich., after a sudden illness that culminated in pneumonia.
Born in Detroit, the son of Rebecca Schecter and David Pollack, he attended Central High School there.
He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Wayne State University, and a Ph. D. from the University of Michigan. He also received a Fulbright grant to study in Italy.
He is survived by his wife, Janis Conlin; sons, Shawn (husband of Susan Bloye) and Brian (husband of Karen Nussbaum); daughters Elena Conlin Pollack Mendoza Stone (wife of Jonathan) and Andrea Conlin Pollack Hoffman (wife of Benjamin), and grandchildren Aaron, Katie, and Elizabeth.
His living siblings are brothers Manny and Irwin, and a sister, Sara Selin.
